C.P.R., FIRST AID & A.E.D.:      Registration Fee – $25     Check your cards for expiration!

This U.B.C. – C.P.R. & First Aid course covers: checking the unconscious and conscious victim, recognizing and caring for life threatening bleeding, sudden illness and injuries. Also covered are recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies.

In addition, the Automatic External Defibrillator or A.E.D. will be covered on the Thursday evening session. This important life-saving equipment is now available in more locations and anyone with safety, first aid and/or rescue responsibilities should be familiar with its function.  Qualification Cards will be issued to participants who successfully complete this course.

Course Length: CPR & First Aid – 12 Hours; A.E.D. – 4 Hours

PLEASE NOTE: O.S.H.A. regulations require, and many Construction Managers insist, that someone with C.P.R. & First Aid Training be on site at all times.

BASIC WELDING:    Registration Fee – $25

This course is designed for the beginning welder and covers oxyacetylene torch work and arc welding. The course includes classroom instruction as well as hands-on practice. Topics include safety, theory, tools & equipment, materials and practical uses of welding. Arc welding will cover various joints and joint preparation.

Course Length: 24 Hours                                Prerequisite: None

D.O.T. CERTIFICATION WELDING:     Registration Fee – $25

This course covers the procedures, standards and qualifications of the D.O.T. Welder Certification Test. Course will result in D.O.T. testing and certification.

Prerequisite: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS COURSE.

  • Welders must be proficient in vertical up, overhead fillet and butt-welding.

Course Length: 80 Hours (may be adjusted based on instructor recommendation)
